Who is Andalan's advisory suited for?
We work with small business owners in Johor and the surrounding region — those running independent operations who would benefit from an outside perspective. If you are carrying decisions alone and would like a second opinion delivered without pressure, our sessions are a comfortable fit.
What happens in the first session?
We listen. You share what is on your mind — the state of the business, the decisions you are weighing, the pressures you feel — and we ask questions where helpful. We do not arrive with a prepared agenda. The shape of the session follows what you bring.
Do I need to prepare financial documents before we meet?
It helps to have a rough sense of your turnover and main costs, but there is no strict preparation required. If you have documents, bring what feels relevant. If you do not, we can still have a useful conversation from where you stand today.
How long does an engagement usually last?
Each package sets its own timeframe. The First Shoot Review is a single session. The Standing Together Advisory spans several weeks across two working sessions. The Whole Grove Programme is structured month by month and continues as long as it serves you.
Are sessions conducted in person or online?
We welcome both. Many owners based in Johor prefer to meet at our Skudai office for a quieter, more personal setting. For those farther afield, or during busy periods, sessions are available by video call at a time that suits you.
How is this different from hiring a business consultant on a project?
A consultant typically comes in, delivers a report, and leaves. We work alongside you — at your pace, through your decisions. The relationship is more like a trusted thinking partner than an outside expert who arrives with ready answers.
